"Festival of Contemporary Theatre- Myanmar"
iUi # 02: initiating, updating and integrating

4-13 February 2010

Dear Artists,

This is the invitation letter to inform you about our upcoming Theatre festival in Yangon, Myanmar February 2010.
This project is organized by theatre of the disturbed, an independent theatre group based in Myanmar (Burma), in collaboration with Alliance Fran├žaise de Rangoun in Yangon, Myanmar (French Cultural Centre, Yangon), under the name “iUi # 02: initiating, updating and integrating - Festival of contemporary theatre”. The project will be held from 4 to 13 February 2010 at Alliance Fran├žaise de Rangoun (French Cultural Centre - Yangon) in Yangon, Myanmar. It covers a 5-day workshop on theatre, a 3-day seminar on theatre and dramatic literature, and a 2-day festival of contemporary theatre. International theatre artists/professors/acting coaches and local theatre artists will conduct the workshops and give lectures during the seminar. Theatre productions based on the works of renowned international playwrights and local playwrights will be presented during the festival.
Theatre artists, dancers, playwrights, performers, scholars and researchers from all over the world are welcome to join the event which is to be held from 4 to 13 February 2010 in Yangon, Myanmar. Due to the very limited resources of the group, we will not to able to invite you with travel and substantial expenses for your visit. However we could arrange a personal invitation letter for you in getting financial supports from cultural organizations in your country.
We would be pleased if you could join our project in Myanmar in February 2010. We would also request you to inform your artists-friends (artists, theatre groups and art and cultural organizations) about this project.

We will be looking forward to seeing you in Myanmar in February 2010.

Sincerely yours,
Nyan Lin Htet
