As a part of the artist-in-residency programme of theatre of the disturbed, we invited Thai Video Artist Som Sutthirat to Yangon from 16 to 21 June 2009.
The aim of this workshop is to promote the practice of videa art which still is largely unknown and unpracticed within the local art community.
During the 5-day intensive workshop Som worked with 30 participants from local art community. The 30 participants were divided into 4 teams to work on 3-min Video works respectively under the direction of Som. The basic theme of the works is "Memory loss" so that each participant can relate to the theme based on their person experiences.
4 videos works by participants along with the works of Som were screened at Alliance Française de Rangoun on 20th June 2009.

Special thanks to Som Sutthirat (Artist), Mr Fabric Etienne (Alliance Françcaise de Rangoun) & Mélanie Agron (Alliance Française Rangon)
